Four Tips for Gifting Personalised Jewellery to Your Daughter
Even our loving grandmas can be disappointed by a bad gift. But you know they will be overwhelmed with love when you give them a thoughtful one! Here are a few tips to help make sure you give grandma an unforgettable piece of jewellery.
- Occasion - Is the jewelry for a special occasion, such as a birthday, graduation, or holiday? If so, you may want to choose something that is more formal or elaborate. If the jewelry is for everyday wear, you may want to choose something that is more casual or understated.
- Style - Think about your daughter's style. What kind of jewelry does she typically wear? Is she more classic or trendy? Does she prefer simple or ornate pieces? Once you have a good understanding of her style, you can narrow down your options.
- Price - Do your best to match how much you spend with what's reasonable and the magnitude of the occasion. Your daughter will have an easier time learning to love a piece of jewellery that is more expensive than she is accustomed to accepting than she will forgetting about a piece of jewellery that is clearly a budget buy.
- Personalisation - Personalising jewellery adds more meaning and shows you put thought and time into selecting it which is sometimes more valuable to your daughter than the amount you spent. If your daughter is in her teens or older, beware of personalisation that is out of style. A simple engraved necklace might be cute for an 8 year old, but won't have the same impact for a teenager.
